Biography

Mine Turhan completed her undergraduate studies in the Communication and Design Department at İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University in 2010. After graduating from Cinema and TV (MFA) program at Kadir Has University in 2011, she worked in the advertising industry. In 2015, she completed a dual-degree program covering the Media and Visual Studies (MA) program at İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University and the Master of Business Communication and Digital Media (MSc) program at Tilburg University. During her master's studies, she conducted research on spatial continuity in films, visual perception, and measured audience behavior using eye-tracking. Currently, she is conducting her doctoral research in the Design, Technology, and Society Ph.D. program at Özyeğin University. Her doctoral thesis focuses on investigating interaction modalities in reading materials to enhance children's reading motivation. Her research interests include Psychological Approaches in Cinema, Communication Strategies, Cognitive Approaches to Visual Narratives, and Digital Storytelling.
